The older, the faster again...NYC marathon again!!
Banque Scotia half marathon was my 6th half marathon since I started triathlon/running in 2007. As for 5k races, the older I get the faster I am :)
Finished 7th in my age group out of 161 M45-49 runners. Made several ''clever moves'' during race to stay with or jump into groups of runners and be protected from wind. Very bad timing for my 2nd gel however. I saw water station too late at km8, had to stop to take my gel and walk back to grap some water after!! I lost contact with my group and had to work harder during 1-2 min to catch them. Perceived effort became hard at k16 then hawful at 19 and kick my butt not to collapse for the last 2...But soooo happy to PB by 1 minute!
After a qualification for Boston 2018, I get my second ticket for NYC marathon! 2018!!!(standards 1h28 for my AG).
